01What it is

The operational layer underneath clinical work.

NexGEN does not replace the EHR, the clinician, or the medical record. It runs the operational layer around them — the workflow, the queues, the visibility, and the structured data needed to add AI-assisted help responsibly.

Most clinics have strong clinical training and weak operational tooling. Intake is paper-driven, hand-offs happen by chat, and nobody has a shared view of where a given patient is in the workflow. NexGEN is the system that finally gives that view — and gives every role a queue scoped to their work.

NexGEN runs on the same AWS pattern we offer as a solution. Nothing exotic, nothing experimental — production-minded by design.

Backend

Flask application on EC2 behind Gunicorn and Nginx. Custom domain, HTTPS, and a reproducible deployment workflow.

Data

Structured patient and visit entities, an explicit state model, and an event log feeding queues, dashboards, and audit trails.

Hosting

EC2 + Route 53 + ACM for the backend. S3 for media. The same AWS architecture documented under our Cloud Hosting solution.

Honest scope, deliberately.

NexGEN is operational software. Not a medical device. Not a diagnostic tool. Not a replacement for clinical judgment.

We are careful about what NexGEN claims. It does not make clinical decisions. It does not run autonomous AI on patient data. It does not replace the EHR. It is the operational software around the clinical work — and that boundary is held intentionally.
